Japan is a very different reality where organize a concert is a really different experience. In Japan there are no real artistic directors, no support of institutions or state and all culture is usually supported thanks to private. The 90% of the artistic agencies of the country work hiring the concert hall and selling tickets.
Money for the organization come usually from private sponsors and artists themselves and only rarely from the hall itself, which anyway cover only a small part of the many items of expenditure which are necessary for made a concert a success.
More and more often we receive proposal to organize concerts in Japan but all the time we try to explain our difficulties, people is puzzled or disappointed, having sometimes a wrong idea of this country.
At this purpose, we prepared a table as clear as possible about the basic costs that normally an organization like ours have to support in order to organize an event and those that are possible artist revenue.
This table is only for general consultation, it does not represent any economic request from Osaka Mozart Association.
Each project we will receive, will be evaluated considering also this datas.
